Kieran Holmes  ​Coach

In 2015 Jay graduated from the University College of Football Business with an Honours degree in Football Business & Media.  

Jay’s role with the i2i International Soccer Academy and i2i’s UK Academy is to manage all social media channels providing fresh and innovative content including pictures, posters, videos and interviews on a daily basis.

Jay is also Media Manager at i2i’s Semi-Professional club Tadcaster Albion which includes running all social media channels, filming matches and website editing.


On top of this Jay also co-ordinates i2i's Harrogate centre.

Kieran is currently studying sports coaching at York College and also plays for the i2i/York College First Team as well as the i2i/Tadcaster Albion Under 21's. Kieran aspires to be the best footballer and coach that he can possibly become to influence the others around him to also become better players.   

Rich is an FA fully licensed and UEFA B part 1 coach which will be finished in the summer. Rich, 32 has been coaching since the age of 16 and has worked at Andy Mac Soccer Academy as well as Leeds United Development Centres and York College. Rich studies Sport Science in York College in 2002 before gaining experience in the USA with Challenger Sports.

Michael is a professional goalkeeper who has made over 400 appearances for clubs such as Sunderland, Stoke City and York City.
Michael’s illustrious career spans over seventeen years and has won two trophies. During his nine years at York City, Michael kept an extremely impressive 116 clean sheets in 326 games.
Michael represented his country Northern Ireland from U18’s level all the way up to senior level playing against talented nations like Germany, Uruguay and Wales in International fixtures.
Michael is a qualified UEFA A license coach who has recently worked with York City’s Academy Goalkeepers.

Dan Parker  Coach

Danial Parker is an FA Level 3 (UEFA B) coach who also holds FA Youth Award Modules 1, 2  FA Futsal and FA Coaching Disabled Footballers. Danial was previously the Community manager for York City Football Club Foundation and has 20 years’ experience working in football development. He has also worked for York City FC centre of excellence/Academy working for 4 years with the under 15/16 squads and experience in the women and girls football having coached within the North Yorkshire Girls Centre of excellence.
In May 2015, Danial completed the Afpe Level 3 in Physical Education and School Sport to support his work when coaching in Primary and Secondary school across North Yorkshire in his new role as the Tadcaster Albion FC/i2i life Foundation Manager.

Born in 1962, Nelly was a successful goalkeeper playing with both York Railway Institute and York City (1984-86). He only started coaching when his son Tom started playing football. In 2004 Nelly set up City Football Development and has overseen the coaching of hundreds of youngsters across Yorkshire. Dozens of his players have since progressed to professional clubs with Jordan Holt going on to represent Wales at various age-groups whilst at Hull City. CFD and i2i joined forces at the beginning of 2015 – with both companies sharing the same philosophy on how to best develop young players.

Neil Sanderson  ​Head of Recruitment

Simon is an FA Level 3 (UEFA B) coach who also holds FA Youth Award Modules 1, 2 and 3. With a BA Hons degree in Sport Development, Simon is currently the Managing Director of United Soccer Trips (UST) and has more than 10 years’ coaching experience in English academies. Formally of Leeds United, he is currently coaching part time for Manchester City Academy as a development coach.  In April 2013, Simon completed the Position Specific Coaching (PSC) English FA courses on developing defenders, midfielders and forwards. Simon is currently undertaking his FA Level 4 (UEFA A) coaching licence part 1.

Former York City trainee now Wigginton Grasshoppers player Neale is an FA Level 2 coach who has worked for York City Centre of Excellence/Academy for 7 years working with the Under 10 age group. Neale also worked with our Head of Recruitment Nelly Sanderson at CFD and was part of the staff that ran the first ever Holiday Course at the age of just 17. Neale also coaches in La Manga, Spain and has done so for the past 8 years.
